Safety training with National Safety Council, Mumbai to create Safety Marshalls at customers' organisations for better safety awareness and to drive adoption of safety practices. Workplace safety is especially important for each employee in an organisation because everyone desires to work in a safe and protected atmosphere. Health and safety of employees and our stakeholders are a priority at Tata Steel. This is the ethos that is driving us to strengthen safety practices on the manufacturing shop floor of our esteemed customers. So far, we have created over 1400 Safety Marshalls across the country through our award-winning 'Safety First' programme. This was upgraded last year in response to requests for fresh training modules. These two-hour sessions are currently being conducted virtually on various topics of relevance like Material Handling, Hazard identification and Behavioural Safety.
